Electrician - Emerald

A multi-service electrical contractor based in Emerald is building out its local team. The business was bought out a couple of years ago, has moved away from a FIFO model, and is putting real money behind hiring people who live in the region - or who will fly or drive in from Rockhampton. A second office is opening in Rockhampton.

They work across domestic, commercial and light industrial: electrical, air conditioning, solar, security, QBuild, council and government contracts, small projects, with mining work on the horizon.

The work

Broad. That is the point of the job - you will get across more industries and project types here than you would on a single-sector desk. There is also a genuine opportunity for a solar-accredited candidate to lead and grow that division.

What you will need

• Electrical licence
• Solar accreditation if you are going for the solar side
• Willingness to be based in Emerald, or to drive or fly in from Rockhampton

What is on offer

• $54-62 per hour, flat rate, no penalties
• An extra $6/hr if you are local to Emerald
• 15% loading for DIDO/FIFO
• $10,000 relocation package
• 45-50 hours a week, with overtime on top
• Strong job security, and a business genuinely part-way through a rebuild rather than coasting
